Does laxative tolerance require more oxypowder???

I have experienced constipation since childhood that doctor's always brushed off as "normal"...I found this site a week ago and now realize it is far from normal and I am having many issues because of it. I had always been told by doctors to take laxatives; and now I am at a point where I take them just about every night...pericolace and ex-lax are the combo that work for me. I don't want to continue down this path any longer. So, after reading about the many products I have come to a decision...I ordered the " Oxypowder " and plan to do my first cleanse/flush this weekend. I chose the oxy because it sounds like the strongest of everything. My plan is to clean myself out with the oxy and then use Dr. furmula #1 for maintanance and to re-strenghten my colon muscles to work again after. My question to all of the more experienced people is does this sound like a good plan? My other quandry is how much of the oxy to take. Since I have a tolerance for laxatives I am wondering if I should take more than the normal dose my first day? It says that you start with a set amount and increase until you see the results...but my thinking is that I will surely not get results with the average starting dose; and I don't want to get my self into a position where I start with the normal dose Friday night, and end up completely constipated Saturday because I didn't take enough...I CERTAINLY don't want to put off seeing the results until Monday when I have to go back to work (because I am a teacher, my bathroom breaks have to be quite limited, and missing work is NOT an option). So, anyone out there that has taken the oxypoweder, I NEED YOUR HELP! How much of this stuff should I take the first night? What should I expect? I really would appreciate advice for a newbie!
