Hi Midge, thank you for your kind words. Regarding the salt water flush vs. a cleansing enema, I expect that you will get opinions on both sides. Personally, I'd much rather do an enema than drink a quart of salt water, but that is a personal preference. I know other people who would do anything to avoid having to have an enema.

If at this time you don't have an opinion either way, I'd suggest trying both at different times and comparing the results you get. Somer is a valuable resource on this forum, and the reason that the salt solution for either a saline solution enema or a salt water flush isn't absorbed by the body is because it is isotonic. One teaspoon of salt per pint of water is almost identical to the concentration of sodium chloride in our bodies, so it is neither absorbed by the body, nor draws fluid out when it is eliminated.

Before deciding on a particular colon therapist, get back to me for some tips on how to choose a good one.
