Somer, you said "Now I can take a full quart...". If you go real slow, and just let a little bit in at a time, you could probably take a
quart and a half without any additional discomfort in the same amount of time, if you include the 15 minute rerention.
That's what I have learned over the years from personal experience. Taking a larger volume slower provides a more thorough cleanse with a shorter retention time afterwards. You are essentially "retaining it as you proceed".
In the end the total elapsed time is similar, but I have found that clients tend to prefer actually receiving a larger volume enema over a longer period of time than they do a smaller enema and then having to just lay there and hold it in for more than 3-5 minutes at most.
I was taking a full bag while I was in my mid-teens without undue discomfort.
