I've had those too! I haven't really seen anyone comment on them. I THINK they are parasites. I purposely tried NOT to eat anything red, just in case.

You're right, the colour of a tomato is a good description. Was it kind-of transparent as well? Mine were a vivid red, but you could almost see through them. Tweet
