Salt makes you fat?

Hi Precis,

I do think that the salty taste is coming from your fat reserves, and further that the same salt imbalance probably contributed to your tendency to gain unneeded weight. According to Dr. Batmanghelidj, when you eat too much salt, without enough water, your body feels thirsty, but since the brain cannot distinguish between hunger and thirst, youeat. If you eat salty foods (yummy chips, fries, margaritas), then you are further dehydrated and your brain sends more hunger/thirst signals.

But be careful; with 65 pounds to go, you might run out of salt before you run out of weight. If you start to lose the salty taste, you still might want to add a pinch of salt to your luscious lemonade.
