Re: What do you do when your throat is sore?

Cherry throat drops work well for me, & also cherry yogurt. Cherries are chock-full of anti-inflammatory anthocyanins. Also try strawberry ice-cream made with eggs & oil.

Maybe you have a hidden (delayed-onset) allergy to NON-sauteed onion/garlic? Onion/garlic intolerance is supposed to be connected with dysfunctional liver conditions - see this: http://www.digitalnaturopath.com/cond/c22977.html

If you check out About.Com you'll see onion-allergy testimonials. Some people get migraines, others stomach problems/nausea, others anaphylactic reactions or sinus drip.

I myself get terrible sore throat and cold lasting for weeks.

Even if I eat soup cooked with onions that weren't well-sauteed, I get soreness. And forget oniony herring, or garlicky pickles.
