Re: The SHOW IS OVER FOLKS!!!!
On the one hand, we have random mutations where characteristics in an animal come out in the offspring that makes the offspring better adapted to the environment. Then the animal would have had many different looks or combinations of itself until just the right one come along; and allows it to survive.
On the other hand, after reading some of your posts, we have God-given adaptation where depending on the environment an animal will naturally turn into a better organism in order to be able to survive its environment. This can be catagorized in the "miracle of life" explanation. There that time where the animal slowly evolves into a better adapted creature, but although we know the why of it, we don't know the how of it. (Like when babies are conceived: we know why they were conceived--bc the sperm fertilized the egg--but we don't know how they were conceived--that very moment when God gave the little baby the breath of life, or the jumpstart of life.
I was taught about Darwinism in HS, and I think there is some truth to that. Bc our genes have a million different makeups where our parents, let's say, could have had us but someone else. We would be there offspring but a different looking/acting person. You see? A typical flock of birds always has a light one in the flock even if that species is characteristicly dark colored. That's variation in genes.
But all in all, I think that creatures do adapt the way their environment dictates. I'm not sure if it's as random as evolutionists like to say. There is a goal in an animals adaption, to be able to reach high leaves(giraffes), to be able to catch fast prey(cheetahs), to be able to survive in cold climates(polar bears with their white, heave fur), etc., etc.,etc. and the list goes on.
Let's suppose that an animal needs to adapt bc the climate slightly changed. The animal is making offspring(generation after generation) that are different shapes, color combinations, heights, weights, widths, bigger eyes, longer noses, etc. Poof! Finally the right characteristic comes along, so that offspring is able to survive. If the process is too gradual, wouldn't that species die out, not having enough time to release all of the offspring where the right one has not come out yet? Evolution takes time. Now the environment would have to evolving slowly otherwise the animals couldn't keep up with adaption.
All in all, I think God designed us to adapt as quickly or slowly as we need to to survive and thrive in our environments. We surely would have died out long ago withount His help.
