Thanks, Johnny!
I appreciate your taking the time to provide such a detailed response. It would seem that in the big scheme of things...there is very little that we can influence. I mean...does anyone think things would have been different under Al Gore or that they will be different with John Kerry? I read in the news this morning that he (Kerry) has blasted GB for the war in Iraq and vowed to not send additional troops to Iraq if elected. Is this the answer? Was this not one of the problems with the Vietnam war that caused it to drag on and on? Kerry has not gone on record stating that he will pull troops out of Iraq all together if elected. The only reason that I would vote for Kerry would be to possibly keep Hillary from running.
I agree that we were all motivated by fear post 09/11 (Weapons of Mass Destruction), but wasn't North Korea a bigger threat at the time? This is only my observation...and I hate becoming so cynical but, I came to the conclusion some time ago that we in America aren't truly given a "choice" for president. Whether you choose A or B - does it really matter?
You have raised alot of good points - so, once you realize that X, Y and Z aren't just random acts but follow A, B and C, what is one to do??
Have a good day,
E
