Re: root of the terriorists
10/25/2001 -The Root of the Terrorists
Things of life may seem complex but a student of the Word of God will find these things very simply defined in God's Holy Book. Prophecies made thousands of years ago are being played out in today's breaking news.
Jesus Christ is called the Alpha and Omega, which means the beginning and the end, and so it the Word of God, which tells the beginning of the world and its end and ushers us into eternity. This subject is being written just three weeks after the horrendous terrorist attacks that were made against the United States on September 11, 2001. The root of these terrible murderous acts is revealed in the Holy Bible in the book of Genesis.
GOD SAID in Genesis, Chapter 16, Verses 11-12:
11 And the angel of the LORD said unto her, Behold, thou art with child, and shalt bear a son, and shalt call his name Ishmael; because the LORD hath heard thy affliction.
12 And he will be a wild man; his hand will be against every man, and every man's hand against him; and he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren.
God said Ishmael would be wild man upon the earth. God made this prophetic statement nearly 4,000 years ago.
MAN SAID, "The Bible was written by mere men and there is no God."
Now THE RECORD. Abraham's first son was named Ishmael. Hagar, Ishmael's mother, was an Egyptian servant to Sarah, Abraham's wife. Because Sarah was barren and consequently unable to bear children, she gave her handmaiden Hagar to Abraham to wife and thus Ishmael was born.
Abraham is known by God as the father of faith (Romans 4:11). The seed of Faith was in Abraham and that seed was Christ (Galatians 3:16). It's through that seed of faith that Israel finds its root and it's through the lineage of King David of the tribe of Judah, one of the twelve tribes of Israel, that Jesus Christ, the son of man, has his root. Understand that Jesus Christ was with the Father before the world began and that he came to earth through the Virgin Mary in the form of man to break the back of the Devil and set our captive souls free.
Abraham was a very rich and powerful man. He was getting very old and it appeared that Ishmael his only son would inherit his great wealth. But God spoke to Abraham and told him that Ishmael was not the one that He had chosen to carry the seed of faith. God instructed Abraham that he would sire a son in his old age with his wife Sarah who was 90 years old.
Genesis, Chapter 17, Verses 15-17:
15 And God said unto Abraham, As for Sarai thy wife, thou shalt not call her name Sarai, but Sarah shall her name be.
16 And I will bless her, and give thee a son also of her: yea, I will bless her, and she shall be a mother of nations; kings of people shall be of her.
17 Then Abraham fell upon his face, and laughed, and said in his heart, Shall a child be born unto him, that is an hundred years old? and shall Sarah, that is ninety years old, bear?
At the age of 100, Abraham's son Isaac was born. The seed of faith, which was Christ, was in faithful Abraham and was passed on to Isaac and not Ishmael.
Romans, Chapter 9, Verses 6-8:
6 Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel:
7 Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called.
8 That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed.
So the Bible states, "In Isaac shall thy seed be called." Isaac was the father of Jacob and God changed Jacob's name to Israel.
Ishmael was 13 years old when his half brother Isaac was born. He and his mother Hagar were bitter against this child of promise, which in fact made them bitter against the plan of God to bring salvation to a lost and dying world.
Genesis, Chapter 21, Verses 8-12:
8 And the child grew, and was weaned: and Abraham made a great feast the same day that Isaac was weaned.
9 And Sarah saw the son of Hagar the Egyptian, which she had born unto Abraham, mocking.
10 Wherefore she said unto Abraham, Cast out this bondwoman and her son: for the son of this bondwoman shall not be heir with my son, even with Isaac.
11 And the thing was very grievous in Abraham's sight because of his son.
12 And God said unto Abraham, Let it not be grievous in thy sight because of the lad, and because of thy bondwoman; in all that Sarah hath said unto thee, hearken unto her voice; for in Isaac shall thy seed be called.
Ishmael mocked Isaac, demonstrating the deepening hatred he had for his half brother. Ishmael and his mother Hagar were sent away without an inheritance from Abraham.
The rift between Ishmael and Isaac is deep. The hatred and animosity grows and has been passed down from father to son for nearly 4,000 years.
It may come as a surprise to many to know that Moslems (a.k.a. Muslims) call themselves Ishmaelites. The Moslem religion was begun around 600 A.D. by their prophet Mohammed, long, long after the word of God was written. Mohammed had married a rich wife and no longer had to work. He would spend his days meditating. He was being plagued with violent seizures and frightening visions and had conveyed to his wife he suspected he was being tormented by demons. She assuaged his fears and said he was being instructed by God. It is said he was plagued by these seizures and visions until the day he died. In 610 A.D., long after the Word of God was given to man, the Ishmaelites launched the teaching of Mohammed. Those of you you who know the record in the Word of God know of Abraham being directed by God to take Isaac, the child of promise, to the land of Moriah and sacrifice him there. Those who know the story also know that God's intention was only to try Abraham's obedience and not actually to sacrifice Isaac. God in fact spoke to Abraham to not touch the lad but instead to sacrifice the ram God had supplied, which was caught in a thicket. The Moslem revisionists teach that it was not Isaac that Abraham went to Moriah to sacrifice, but Ishmael. They claim that Jews and Christians changed the original text to create a picture that favors them. The reality is that that is exactly what the Moslem doctrine did. Unfortunately for them we have the original autographs in the Old Testament Masoretic text and in the more than 5,000 handwritten majority-text New Testament manuscripts. Once a year the Moslems observe a Holy Day they claim commemorates the day Abraham and Ishmael trekked to the top of a mount in the land of Moriah.
The terrorists who attacked America are purported to be Moslem extremists and are calling for all Moslems to rise up and kill Christians and Jews. It is commonly reported that only a small number of Moslems are of this ilk but after viewing the huge Moslem demonstrations around the world, the long-standing Palestinian chant to destroy all Jews and the Moslem label of America as "The Great Satan," it makes one wonder how small the population of the extremists is. Take note that Moslem terrorists want to kill Christians and Jews. What do you think these two groups, the Christians and the Jews, have in common? They are both the seed of faithful Abraham and that seed is Christ Jesus, the Hope of Glory.
This great rift is approximately 4,000 years old. It will not be solved until the great and dreaded battle of Armageddon.
As a final note, let there be no question in your mind, America was attacked for only one reason...because we are friends and supporters of Israel. But know this, God says He will bless those who bless Israel. The Ishmaelites have attacked the seed of Abraham.
GOD SAID, "And he will be a wild man;"
MAN SAID, "The Bible was written by mere men and there is no God."
Now you have THE RECORD.
