"...why do you submit to regulations" Colossians 2:20

"These have indeed an appearance of wisdom promoting rigor of devotion..." Colossians 2:23
"...with my flesh, I serve the law of sin" Romans 7:25
"...abolishing in His flesh the law of commandments and ordinances" Ephesians 2:15
1 Corinthians 8:9 "Only take care lest this liberty of yours somehow become a stumbling block..."
"...the law of liberty..." James 1:25
We will "...be judged under the law of liberty..."

Discussing law with a person (believer or not) is something I've learned is a dead endbecause of human nature, either a person loves God or they don't. If they do, they're just going to have to read more about what The Lord did for us. If they don't have love in their heart, they just like the thrill of controversy because it's an ego boost. We are commanded to preach the GOSPEL (first four books of the New Testament explaining what The Lord did for the human race while He was on earth), NOT the whole bible with all of the sins, wrath, judgement, etc..

The most genuine reason to LOVE The Lord sincerely is that He made the people. Unbelievers who have no true sense of love, simply cannot love God, they simply have no reason to love God because they don't love people. Maybe they will in years to come, but now, they simply don't have the ability, all we can do is plant a seed, but only God gives the growth (1 Corinthians 3:7). Do not try to explain law vs. grace to carnal minds, Christianity is not about the law, it's about love (gracious gift of eternal life). Discussing law is alot like trying to PROVE that God exists, if someone is OBSESSED with having proof, it's safe to say that they are unable to have FAITH, and if someone is obsessed with law, it's safe to say that they are not ready to love. We have to be content with planting a seed and let God take it from there.
