1 John 3:9 and 5:18...Impossible for a Christian to sin?

It's debatable because of semantics (word usage), personal philosophy and understanding of each Christian towards crime and punishment, compassion towards victims, etc.. Realizing the significance of sin and the significance of evil (evil is ANYTHING that prevents 'GOOD' from occurring, DISTINGUISH between good and evil), is a large step of growth in conscience, conscience is the birthplace of love (compassion and respect). Whether or not anything can be classified as idol worship or a sin of any kind should not be the priority for a Christian, the consequences (pain, misery, suffering, sorrows) should be the first and foremost concern (compassion) and greatly outshadow any transgression (Love covers a multitude of sins).

Of course, you may covet any teaching of sin (fault, blame, guilt, shame, etc.) and humiliate and intimidate anyone that you can find a way to justify (if you do your good deed for the day, the Boy Scouts might pat you on the back, but I don't think God will,...All is lawful for me, but not all is good for me [because it doesn't teach me compassion]).

I think we have to get over this idea that we can be SUFFICIENTLY or adequately proper and BE 'good' (as far as perfect and complete 'GOOD' >absolute good, NO ONE is good but God alone,...we just have to live with and accept that and be content knowing that The Lord is using us for His purposes).

A lot of things in this world are wrong (obsession with T.V., fashion, our comfort, etc., anything that distracts us from being responsible and doing what is right, but how much do you ENJOY convicting your neighbor and watching them cringe? How much can you be gentle and understanding, the same as Jesus would be? How many times has anyone ever asked you if you are an angel sent from God? This is what a Christian should be, not an authority of what can be considered a sin and of what class, context or jurisdiction is appropriate for a proper analysis and decision of which penalty or reprimand is called for.

Present and future generations of sincere 'God lovers' who ALSO love and respect the people might very well be dominated by those who don't know how to read. We must present a more clear idea of our loving Father in heaven and SHOW (not just SAY) all those who are mindful of God why "GOD IS LOVE".
