I came across this some months ago but never really bothered with it because we are not to be factious or partisan.
The existence and gender of Junias is taken for granted as it should be. Of course, it is not a surprise to any of us that The Lord did not give man a mediocre helpmeet, is it?

Paul refers to the staying power of some early converts in Romans 16:7. He says Andronicus and Junias ``were in Christ before I was.'

I'm not sure I can justify any kind of discrimination in women's service to The Lord. The only restrictions placed on their service seem to come from Paul's opinion and I think we are mistaken whenever we assign women increased status when they get married (1 Corinthians 11:7 "woman is the glory of man").
