Actually if you read in the beginning of the Bible you will notice in Genisis that God gave man dominion over the earth, then man invited satan to have a share in that too.

Mix the two together and you have a disaster waiting to happen.

That is why there is suffering. You mix imperfection with corruption and you get suffering.
