Thank you for explaining that. Your explanation makes sense and I have had trouble dealing with that word as used in scripture because the word is also a CONCEPT (and I have not grown up knowing the concept of fearing The Lord). Just as a child values the parent's discipline as loving attention, I have not learned to truly FEAR The Lord (I can fear His power and wrath, but not Him, and I earnestly await any discipline due me). With The Lord's help, I will understand more about FEAR, and your explanation was very helpful. There may have never been a need (reason) for me to understand before, but, now with recent family matters as they are (temper, resentment, etc.), there definitely is a need (and wisdom is on a "need to know basis").
