Re: Is my dentist crazy? - YES THEY ARE ALL INSANE
Personally, I believe all dentists are insane. If not now, then soon.
They have the highest suicide rate of any professionals.
They just want your money. Dentures are not so bad.I got mine at age 45. Its time perhaps??
Their problems start in dental school, where the biggest hoax in medicine in played out. THen they get into practise and discover that so many patients do not conform to what they were taught. So they just proceed with making a profitable practise, which is nessessary due to the high debt they have incurred in getting thru school.
THey only have 'what they were told' to work with. Anomalies, or 'the reality of dental health' come into play, and there is a disconnect. They go insane very quietly.
i was told that my teeth didn't hurt, and that I merely had a fear of the needle, or was it the drill? They actually told me this as I sat there in huge pain, pains that I had had for several years on end, without any dentist willing to help me. They would jsut suggest standard dental treatments.
Eventually I developed Trigeminal Neuralgia, described as "the most painful human condition". Still none would help me other than to suggest a filling or something.
Cleanings were insisted upon, even tho I could not even tolerate the slightest breathe of cold air, or even a warm drink of tea getting on my teeth, even room temp water would send me skywards in pain. They were that sensitive, terribly infected in the
root canals esp. Still, no help, no alterate suggestions.
For over FIVE YEARS I begged and begged, actually getting down on my knees at one point, for extractions. "we don't remove teeth due to a fear of the dril, sorry" is al they said.
finally, I managed to get an extraction appointment -t hree months down the road - they were just torturing me on purpose due to my demanding stance, and the reality of my condition that blows their work out of the water as cruel and inhumane. They hoped I would die I guess.
When I got them out, most of my symptoms of chronic illness were gone.
