Re: extraction instead of root canal? then what?

Hi Ryan. I had a molar extracted that was a wisdom tooth. Because I left the one on the other side, I had some shifting. It has become somewhat apparent over the six years since I had it done, though it isn't bad and everyone else swears they don't know what the heck I'm talking about. However, read my post about my current root canal issue. Mine is a front tooth, and I'm even considering removing that, even though it eventually means losing two and needing implants or a bridge. Not nice, but five months of chronic, unrelenting pain isn't either. As for extractions, I would seek an oral surgeon (I had one remove my wisdom tooth after it had come through the gum, so I'd imagine the procedure would be similar for a regular molar - and painless if the OS is a good one). I had a general dentist perform my root canal. BAD idea. Best to seek professionals for specific dental procedures. Let my pain prevent yours. Best of luck to you.
