There are many LITERARY contradictions in the bible, meaning that there are verses that SEEM to contradict each other because of the words being used and how we have learned to understand those words. It is not because God, in His wisdom has carelessly allowed this to happen, it is because Christianity is not supposed to be (and is not) understood as a FORMULA or ALGORITHM. Christianity is not bureaucratic, there are no blueprints, maps, flowcharts or signposts that point to God, and logic is not sufficient to know Him (Isaiah 1:18 "Come let us REASON TOGETHER"). Logic is limited by it's own rules and does not allow for communication with God, that is why the words REASON and TOGETHER are used. We cannot follow a sequence of instructions in order to be Christian (Romans 2:29 "...real circumcision is a matter of the heart, spiritual and not LITERAL". 1 Corinthians 1:22 says that the Jews seek for a sign. We prove our Christianity every day by doing what we truly believe the Lord wants us to do so that our worship is not only on Sunday. The law is no longer written on maps, diagrams or printed on paper, it is in our hearts and actions (Jeremiah 31:33 "...I will put my law WITHIN them, and I will write it upon their hearts...").
