Sometimes we have to be careful with the words we use, such as the words "hope", "submit", and "faith". These are all the proper words that are used in scripture, but the wordly meanings of these words can have different meanings according to the "CONTEXT" they are used in. We have learned to understand the word SUBMIT in a "dictatorial" sense, but God is not a dictator, God is the Heavenly Father (parent of the human race),...do your parents MAKE you submit to them as dictators, or do you willingly do what they say because you trust (faith) them? Do you have faith in your parents to do what is right for you because you you "fear" them or because you know that they love you? (1 Peter 2:2 "Like newborn babes..."). We are told in scripture to FEAR God, but the word "fear" is another word that is used LOOSELY in a dictatorial sense (I can fear FALLING off a roof, but that doesn't mean that someone PUSHED me, it means that I was careless). We are told to LOVE the Lord thy God with ALL our heart, mind, soul and strength (if a cop gives me a speeding ticket, I don't hold it against him, I DESERVE that ticket and blame myself for the ticket). The wordly meaning of "hope" was taught to us in a "gambling" sense, but in the spiritual sense it means that we are to "look forward to" the eternal reward. Hebrews 11:1 says that Faith is the ASSURANCE (not the GAMBLE) of things HOPED for. Satan doesn't want us to FEEL assured, satan wants us to FEEL that we are gambling, satan wants us to FEAR that we are SUBMITTING (in the dictatorial sense), instead of serving a loving God by showing compassionate love to our fellow human being.
