Re: Don't hold back, but understand that secular people only know how to feel "intimidated by God...

What I mean is...the mere mention of "God" intimidates people because they know that God tells us to restrict our behavior to only doing what is good. There are many secular arguments for God, but to the unsaved, Christianity is seen as a political philosophy and can only understand that they should "vote" for God in order to be a good person. This is the biggest problem in talking to unbelievers, they can't understand what you say, they can only understand their fear of not being "good" (intimidation). I have known people to actually intentionally disregard common sense when I try to get them to admit that God exists, so they certainly weren't ready to acknowledge Christ, let alone find credibility in Christianity. So, don't hold back, but high expectations lead to disappointment. I find it a lot easier presenting God in an altruistic (something that is always true) manner. God is truth (John 14:6), God is reality, God is the Origin (where everything came from) and sent His Son as the hero that would replace the Levitical Priesthood (Hebrews 7:11) so that we could return to God in heaven. Now, all of that may seem reasonable to you and me, but the unbeliever cannot get past the fear [and intimidation (Proverbs 1:7 "the BEGINNING of knowledge..."). So, don't be surprised when talking to unbelievers, they will have trouble understanding anything about God, especially that the Gospel is anything but a TRUE love story (about God and His people). The ancient Hebrews made the word "I" a CONCEPT that declared their identity because they were the children of the GREAT I AM. Yes, God is the only way of truly making sense out of reality, but try and explain that to an unbeliever.
This is why
