I can't be very extensive right now because I am going to get some sleep also, but I'll explain what I believed before I knew anything about Christianity. I believed that there was a Creator. I usually called Him THE ORIGIN (people said His correct name was God, but I didn't know that for sure then). There is a common saying,..."There is a first time for everything", and I believe that it is reasonable to that a Creator is that "first time".

I know that does not "prove" anything, but "proof" that a Creator exists is, in my mind, not only unnecessary (because to me, it should be obvious that there was a beginning), but "willingness" to admit that there is a Creator depends on appreciation of "all of creation" (love).

I used to ask the Creator to send someone in His name to bless the people and "rescue" them from an "ill fated" existence so that they would be able to return to Him in heaven. I didn't know about Christianity or that the bible was really God's word until I started including myself in my prayers to Him because God doesn't just want us to love each other, He wants to be our PERSONAL Savior.
