Re: HELPPP!! Have appt with Dentist. Should I extract this Root Canaled tooth?

Hi!

Sorry to hear about your rooth canal problems.

I read a great book..."The Root of Disease" by Levy and someone else. It explained that a root canal can have an effect kind of like toxic shock syndrome from a tampon. There's bacteria in there, it mutates, and will keep infecting the body until the source is removed.

I have four RCs and *really* want to have them removed soon, but that's another story.

If I were you, knowing what I know, I'd *run* to the best bio dentist I could find and get that tooth out. Make sure they're good at what they do. Most will give you a 15 min. free consult. Be sure you feel comfortable with them!

It would be great if you could get a copy of the book I mention above. I read it in about 2 days....it is nicely written!

I met a woman recently (over the phone, not in person) who is 32 years old. She had severe MS for about 7 years and was in a wheel chair. They were about to put her on an IV drip of pain killers (oxycontin). She said that she knew once they did that, she'd never come back. Her "MS" had set in 3 days after a RC.

She had 8 RCs, and went to a dentist who removed 5 of them. She walked out of the dentist office. She had the other 3 removed and is doing fine now. In fact, last time I spoke with her (about 3 months ago) she was quite busy chasing her 22 week old baby around!

Some resources for you:

http://www.hugnet.com (can download some books in PDF for a fee of course).

http://forums.drweil.com/n/mb/listsf.asp?webtag=drwExperts
The above site is a message board where you can ask ?s to Dr. Levy, the co-author of "Roots of Disease"

I hope this information helps you, and you find the solution that you need.

With warm regards and best wishes,
KarenMarie
