Re: Enzymes - the amazing facts.
Over the past day I ahve read a great deal of Howell'swork and I ahve the very same questions as I am posing here...which is not addressed in his work and that is how does the body recognize food derived enzymes and modulate its own production of enzymes.
If you wish to discuss Howell's work fine but you ahve not addressed the question of how the body recognizes food derived enzymes rather you provided some vague recollection that tonsils were involeved. I ahve looked into that and have found no linkage you will have to be more specific.
Oh by the way my grandfathers were not genetically related so perhaps smoking and drinking are the way to a long life just as efficient as Howell's work it appears...at least equal numbers!!
You also seem to be onteh dodge as far as answering questions. How about this one: do you agree that the body must in some fashion be able to recognize food derived enzymes in order for it to know how to modulate its own production of enzymes? If yes then the logical next question is How does it do this?
I have researched this and found no evidence to support the notion that the body is capable of recognizing specific enzymes in food if anyone can add anything further that would be great otherwise my research indicates that the body does not modualte its production of endogenous digestive enzymes based on what it detects in food.
