"Well this little debate seems to lead me to one conclusion! That is that neither one is right or wrong!
Do you really think so? Garcia has agreed with me that the human body produces all the enzymes it needs for digestion. In support of the theory that food derived enzymes are involved in digestion he offers a single quote...no data...no citation....no nothing outside of the claim that every nutrition book he has read says this. Is that sufficient evidence to believe in this theory...especially given the fact that no one can provide a mechanism for how the body senses these enzymes in food and transfers this information to the various organs involved in the secretion of digestive enzymes not to produce specific enzymes? Doesn't it bother you that not a single human physiology book mentions this system or mechanism? Don't you wonder how this theory started and what people measured to come to this conclusion that this is how it works? Do you just take things on blind faith or do you require some modicom of evidence to make you a believer?
