Re: Cooked vs Uncooked

on a more general level you seem to be saying that there is no difference (nutritionally) between cooked and uncooked foods? Is this true?

No I have not said that at all. We were discussing the protein in eggs and I stated that cooked protein and uncooked protein provide the same amino acids nutrionally. I also stated that proteins (enzymes) from food will be rendered non-functional and will play no part in the digestive process. I also said that our bodies make all the necessary enzymes for the digestion of our foods. I also said that cooking will likely destroy some heat labile nutrients but that it was insignificant to our well being. So no it is not true.

You said that the yolk of the egg contains fats necessary for the abosorption of nutrients...all nutrients from your post as I recall....and I requested some specific nutrients that this applied too...is this correct?
