Re: liver flushing - an experiment.
I don't take ES so I'm confident that all my stones are real stones. They're always a bright green, which means they have some bile/biliverdin in them, at the very least! :)
Julia said it was only the ES that made stones suspect. And I believed her because the people who get HUNDREDS of stones out in a single flush sound suspect. Even if the liver/gb has that many stones in it, I seriously doubt that many could escape in one flush, the g/b being shaped the way it is. The gb is a bladder, not a spincter muscle like the rectum. It can't open and stay open. It can only "burp."
If I wanted to test my stones, I'd quaff red
food coloring , or drink some carrot juice before flushing. Carrots don't change color, I've reason to know. ;)
I have yet to see the "ridges" but then I haven't chilled any to solidify them before cutting them in half. I just go diving with the gloves on and squeeze. And I use agents to dissolve/soften them, so that would change the "crystal" and layering aspect, wouldn't it?
