Garcia: Vaccinations

I don't believe they receive vaccinations for salmonella here in the U.S., however they are given loads of Antibiotics . One of the reasons they do this is because of the many deseases to which the cramped up chickens fall prey. That is one of the greatest reasons why some of us pay a little more for cage-free, no hormones and no Antibiotic eggs.
Perhaps you can answer my own questions regariding European standards. Are they pretty uniform throughout the E. Union, or does each country each hold to their own methods still?
I purchase these vacuum packed 'tortilla española' direct from Spain for my daughter's lunches once in a while. Sometimes I wonder about the quality of the eggs in these, but then I reason they couldn't possibly be worse than ours. Am I being naive?
