As a child I used to hate them, whether scrambled, boiled or whatever. Then as a college student I developed a real appreciation for them, birthed mostly from a need to find cheap and nutritious meals. Just when I began to really like them I was told they would increase my cholesterol and conribute to a sure heart attack.
In the recent past, a holistic cardiologist/endocrinologist told me to go ahead and eat them to my heart's delight. (!?)
Then of course, vegans and many other health enthusiasts believe that anything of animal origin is a no-no.
So which came first, the myth or the confusion? Are eggs o.k. to actually eat, or should they be merely saved for bad stage performances?
.....(just kidding!)
