Re: Gallbladder surgery and symptoms

I had a major gb attach in late Feb '05. I thought I had heartburn off and on for the previous 4 years. When I got to the ER they took me straight to surgery as my condition was life threatening. My gb was badly infected and full of stones. It was so bad they tried lap first but ended up with a full open 4 1/2 hour surgery. It took a while to recover (back at work in 2 weeks after pestering the Dr to let me). A month or two to get my system somewhat back to normal. No more "heartburn" and I can eat pretty much what I want.

Best of luck
