Re: Newbie with Questions

Hi There,

May I ask why your Dr recommended you have your gallbladder removed? Do you have stones that cause no symptoms, or is your GB inflammed? Have you had an ultrasound?
Personally I had mine removed b/c of stones that caused painful attacks. I'm having a normal and healthy life and am feeling much better now after the surgery. Certain very fatty foods bother my stomach a bit, but they did before anyways. I don't have any diet restrictions now (which before I couldn't eat anything without having an attack) So far, I am glad I had the surgery. If you decide to do it, make sure your Dr is well qualified and has a lot of experienc with that type of surgery.

If you need any other info, don't hesitate to ask.
