Re: pain after gallbladder removal

Hi Julie,

I have heard that these pains can occur in some people even after having surgery. It could be due to the fact that a stone escaped during surgery, or maybe one was still in the bile duct. I had a friend who had another "attack" after having her GB removed, so it's not uncommon. It might also be just b/c you are still healing. I had quite a few pains after having my surgery as well, but nothing like having the attacks like before. You've still got a ways to go in terms of recovery. I'm about 8wks out of having my surgery, and feeling pretty good -but it was a bit of a long road to recovery. Hang in there! In a few more weeks from now, you will be feeling much much better!

Take Care!
SM
