Hi There,

I had my GB out Feb 23/05. As far as diet after surgery, you'll need to keep it light and simple for the first few days. Personally I has no appetite for the first week or so (pain pills made me very nauseous!) I stuck to soups, toast, fruit. Pretty safe bets. After about a week or so, your appetite will come back and your body will tell you what to eat. Try not to overindluge. ;) I still have not tried anything fried or greasy yet, I'm still a bit nervous. Dr says that everything is "back to normal" now -whatever that is, and I can eat what I want. I'm still going to be cautious thought. I feel great, and I wish you best of luck with your surgery! Please don't hesitate to ask if you want more info on surgery. I had the lap procedure done, but it still hurt like heck afterwards!

SM :)
