Re: Having Gallbladder Surgery

Hi Donna,

I had my GB removed Feb 23'05. I had about a dozen stones with the largest one being about 1cm. I decided to have the surgery b/c I was tired of living with the pain and constant fear of pain. Thankfully I did not have any complications from surgery or afterwards, which is great. I can eat pretty much anything now, but I still watch it prob out of habit. Only thing I can suggest is you have to do what's best for you. Make sure your DR is well qualified to do the lap surgery. I'm sure everything will go well. I know many people who have had this surgery and they are just fine now! All I have left is a bit of soreness, mainly the bellybutton area, but I got back into it too quickly. Just take it easy afterwards.

Good Luck!
SM :)
