Yes you can, should be an interesting experiment! :) Try a combination of grains, including barley and quinoa. How about wild rice? Very tasty and doesn't look at all like regular rice. It won't be Kichadi, but it will be a kind of porridge and as long as you have some kind of legume at a 3 to 1 ratio of grains to legumes you'll have good protein. Good luck and happy cooking! :)
