Re: Stomach very tender?
what exactly do you mean by tender stomach? do you mean that if you press on your abdomen with your hands, there is pain? or that you feel burning/aching IN the stomach, which worsens when you eat? Or both? How does it feel when you're hungry, or eat something really spicy? Do you often feel hungry or usually feel full or no appetite usually?
When you're both Vata and Pitta, then you have to know a little bit more about doshas to balance them right. You have to know exactly what is imbalanced in your health, and how the weather affects you. For instance, Vata would be upset most in the cold weathers, while Pitta would be exacerbated in the hot weathers. so when it's cold, follow Vata guidelinees, when it's hot, follow Pitta.
If you have digestive upsets, you have to determine whether the upset is a Pitta type or Vata. Vata is usually colon, Pitta is small intestine, Kapha is stomach. Weakness is Vata, over-heated burning is Pitta, too much mucous is Ama and kapha.
Okay, have I totally confused you now? :)
that's why I want to make sure exactly what your symptoms are. If it's weakness, then Vata would be the route to go. if it's heat, than a pitta-pacifying route would be best.
How'z your tongue? Are there impressions of your teeth on it? pale or bright red? white or yellow or dark? or coated? any cracks?
Most of my UK internet buddies have a real problem finding supplements. I keep meaning to ask them where they're buying the good ones from, but I think they're just settling for whatever is in the local store.
