Yep, the stuff in Paragone will help the colon move.

Drink plenty of water and you shouldn't get clogged up. Psyllium is a water-solutble fiber, it attracts water to it so that it keeps moving easily. It's nice and loose. If it's compacted, then you aren't drinking enough water.

You DO want to build up to at least 2 P&B shakes a day, if not 3. Same as weight lifting, you want to move up from the 5 pound weights to the 10 pound weights.

Switch to powdered flax seed every now and again just to take a break from the psyllium. It's good to take breaks so you don't become allergic to it.

Read the bowel management notes and see about doing some of those tricks to keep your colon moving. Examine your diet - are you not getting enough oils? is your liver sluggish? Is your diet low-fiber? It should be high-fiber thanks to plenty of legumes and whole-grain cereals/soups, and some fruit.
