Need Someone's Help!

Hi all.

So, I have always had horrible teeth for some reason, probably b/c I grew up on well water and my family was not exactly wealthy. Anyhow, now I am about to turn 25 and have really bad teeth. I need some serious work done and am ready to take that step so that I do not have to worry about it constantly. It really bothers me. I have been in grad school getting a PhD, so my insurance doesnt exist, but I am just going to get what I can and bite the bullet as I really do worry about it all the time.

So here is the deal. I brush 3 times a day, floss each day and use mouth wash, but b/c I have so many Amalgam fillings, I have cracks and fractures on many of my back teeth(betw. 3 sets of two teeth, plus any extra small issues). Ugh. I dont experience any pain by some miracle, but I have a feeling that each and every one of those fillings needs to get replaced(if they havent all started to fall out), due to bad practice when I got them put in.

Ironically, I work on dental filling materials and assume I should get photopolymer replacements, but am scared all this is going to cost me an arm and a leg, but on the other hand do not want ot wait one more year when I will have the money...b/c its already been 3 years.

So, please, anyone with suggestions on dentists and decent insurance for pretty comprehensive work, I would really appreciate it. I just want to take care of this and its unfortunate and sad to me that I have had to wait b/c of the lack of dental care in graduate school.

I worry about it constantly as I feel like my back teeth are going to all die before I am 30! Ugh.

Thanks for any advise everyone.
