Re: What can I do about constant cold sore outbreaks?
Dry eyes is a common side effect to an overly acidic body, or overly alkaline (which is rare). It's called Sjorsberg syndrome? something like that? Which means the mucous membranes get dry. It's also a side effect to thyroid problems, except in that case there's a buildup of polysaccharides in the eye socket that pushes the eyeball out too far. Check your profile and make sure you don't ahve "marty feldman" eyes. ;) If you do, tape your eyes shut at night with soft surgical tape or wear an eye mask.
An overly acidic body is also prone to cankor sores, so beware of taking excess Vitamin C, citrus/tropical fruits. If your toothpaste is the sudsing kind, the compound that causes sudsing is very annoying to the mucosa layer in the mouth. Switch to a baking-soda based toothpaste. Gels are particularly bad.
It's also do to microbial imbalance - candida people get tons of cankor sores. So ... probiotics! Kefir is good too. :)
Avoid all animal protein, or lower your intake.
Coffee, chewing gum and lozenges don't help either.
and KEEP CLEANSING! :)
Hope that helps! :)
