Re: Olive Oil - the facts
Yes, when there's a study that discovers something "new" (which actually it didn't, prostaglandins adn their effect on blood vessals has been known for about 15 years, before that
Science had no idea why blood vessals contracted) and pinpoints one thing, it's helpful to consider how long that food has been used successfully.
Anything that's been around for more than 10 generations so that you can take a look at the cultures that use the food and how they do with it in their diets may not be an exact science, but it's better than focusing in on one basic fact and turning that food into the devil incarnate! LOL!
And really, what's the alternative? I can't think of anything BETTER than olive oil, except for flax seed, and you can't cook with it. So if the onlyl time you have olive oil without veggies is during a liver flush, then the benefits of the flush far outweigh the problems with having temporarily skewed your omega fatty acids.
