Re: Liver flush Breakfast for yeasties.
I don't worry about eating hot cereals on the day of the flush as they're so good for steady energy and the fat is minimal, if any. My fave, altho most of the mixes have wheat, is Bob's Red Mill. They produce a lot of hot cereals and one of them is a wheat-free mix. Having all that fiber for breakfast really helps to ensure that all theh stones are pushed out of the colon the next day.
For a wheat-free alternative, cook up some Quinoa. You can eat this like oatmeal or use chicken broth - good organic brands are mostly non-fat - and kind of 'pilaf' it and add fun spices like cumin, powdered ginger, paprika.
YOu can eat a macrobiotic meal of brown rice or brown basmati rice or white basmati rice and aduki beans with a bit of tamari (organic soy), seaweed and add green onions, garlic or ginger for flavor, or use an Indian curry for seasoning.
I also like to make pancakes from scratch so that there's only the cooking oil and eggs as fat, or the fat in the nuts I use for flavor in the batter. It's still pretty low-fat altho not part of the liver-friendly diet overall since there's flour in it. OH well! :)
Can't eat white potatoes, but sweet potatoes or yams are very nice when broiled. YOu have to slice them 1/4" thick and oil them up so othey don't burn too much, but oh well! Still not a high-fat snack. Just broil for 5 minutes each side.
I don't have a huge list of non-fat or low-fat recipes, because low-fat diets are very bad for good health. I simply try to cook and eat so that I can add raw, cold pressed flax seed oil and get all the important Omega 3 and 5 fatty acids.
