Re: Will gargling with salt reduce tonsil size?

ABsolutely.

Salt is the oldest most natural, likely co-evolved, therapy for a sore throat.

It is not a patentable money maker though, so we are not told to do it.

please don't let them take your son's tonsils... there are other therapies too, various herbs that help a little [so it is worth it],

and maybe Oxygen therapies: H2O2 (Hydrogen-Peroxid) hydrogen peroxide might be perfect for this, but I have never had to try it. Just get some food grade H2O2 (Hydrogen-Peroxid) and DILUTE IT to about 2 or 3% mixture and gargle that.
Yes, I do gargle H2O2,and it is not pleasant but WOW does it clean out the mouth and throat. Leave it in place as long as you can -gargle rinse with regular water if you want after a few minutes [but its more effective not too, it won't hurt you WHEN IT IS DILUTED.]

Good luck and surgery is not the answer... 100,000 American tolsilectomies are still done each year, 2nd only to gallbladder removals [150,000.yr. in the USA] as the most common surgery. Both are totally unnecessary in 99% of cases...Flushing is not used in mainstream medicine not even as a last try before cutting it out, and that is insanity and inhumane.
