Hmm.. that is interesting. The only thing with taking a DHEA supplement is that for me anyway, my skin except for the area around my mouth, is totally fine, not dry and no signs of a sebum deficiency. This allows me to believe that, for me, there is some sort of possible malfunction happening, that I mentioned in an above thread, in the isolated area of the lips only.
Now, if it were true that a there was a lack in the production of sebum in the lip area only, then if a DHEA cream was used that could stimulate the glands production back to normal, it might work. However, you would be dependent on the DHEA cream to stimulate the sebum production, not really addressing the root cause of the problem. I also have not researched DHEA, so I have no idea what side effects it might have.
