Re: Herpes encephalitis?

Thanks everyone for the responses.

I saw my family doctor today and he is refering me to a neurologist at my request. He said he didn't see anything in his basic observation and analysis but, I feel I'm maybe at the early stage of something like it.

As I said I have been taking supressive valtrex for just under a year. My headaches only started in the last 6 weeks and in the last week I've had a little bit more of a bad feeling and the headaches have gotten slightly worse. Not terible yet but, they're in the background most of the time. I've known since the beginning that Valtrex could cause headaches but, I've had no complications during the first 6-9 months.

I'm hoping and praying that its not HSE I'm developing.

Incidently, has anyone heard of these special acyclovir formulations for penetrating the brain mentioned in this article?
