Opinions and testimonials should only be seen as just that, individual experiences; I always try to keep that on the back of my mind when browsing through this forums and hope people reading my messages take in consideration that its just my view;
I don't think I wrote anything that would remotely attack you personally (but depends on the way you view it) so its sad when one has to resource to those means to put other people's opinions down; I do in fact love Science and have a biochemistry degree; even if I didn't have any degree that wouldnt undermine my (personal) view.
We are probably on different wavelengths on this issue because I believe the (probable) googled terms you threw at me (hey I can also assume things) are related to teeth that have blood flow to them; if there's no blood flood to the tooth (where trapped bacteria reside) how does (and I quote) "Your bodies own immune cells sweep in"? blood flow to the gingival tissue DOES NOT feed the inside tooth and cannot tackle the infection; with time and as materials degrade toxins will seep out and infection CAN move to other sites (depends on how strong your immune system is).
More importantly I value my experience and my senses with root canals way more than any Science out there; SMELLING the terrible odor coming from the extracted side and SEEING a large cyst on one of the roots (I still have the tooth if you like to see it) presents enough proof to me that root canals CAN be very unsafe.
Obviously this is my personal experience and should not be taken as the rule (as with any other indivdual's experience).
I never trust Science wholeheartedly (I do enjoy the progression of knowledge); and I don't think you do either or you wouldnt question the scientific theory behind Amalgams and have them removed.
Mind and body connection is very powerful (as you say) so its important to control the amount of information (and type) that you are exposed as this will affect your whole body. Trusting scientific method and studies often driven by greed without any long term studies, and often hidding information is not my choice (i am a scientist but dont put my health on limited knowledge).
I trust nature instead, because there's a reason why we survived before any scientific methods and other limited views of human nature existed.
