Yes - I think so too, it seems to me to be too long for her to be going throuhg this without resolution.

However, how to prevent this from re-occurring? What may have caused this compaction? does anyone have suggestions?

In still guess too little fat/oils, water. But it is only a guess.

All in all, I just hope she's well again in no time.
