There are 4 different types of the dengue virus:

You are immune to one of them. You can certainly get another...I don't know about immunity for your daughter. She would have to have a blood test to test for the presence of antibodies to that strain of the virus....and she, also, would not be immune to the other three.
I recently had a bout of dengue myself. Not fun!
