Re: abnormally large appetite
No, I never saw a doctor. It never would occur to me to do that. I haven't seen a doctor in a looooong time.
About 2 months ago I was at a restaurant with a guy friend. I ordered a chicken pot pie, and a sandwich, ended up eating most of the guy's french fries, and then ate a dessert (I know, Squeaky was being bad). The guy ate 1 sandwich, about 5 fries, and a small dessert. I was considering ordering a 2nd dessert but that would have been WAY too unhealthy so I used a little restraint.
What kinds of foods do you eat? Are you vegetarian/vegan? Do you eat a lot of raw foods? Do you eat much junk food?
Most of my life I didn't exercise. In college I got introduced to exercise. I loved lifting weights. Whenever I would exercise it would definitely amp up my metabolism. I could feel increased warmth radiating out of my body for a day or two after a weights session, plus I would be ravenously hungry for a day or so.
I am not a "breakfast" eater, per se. I like to just graze on fruits in the morning, traditional breakfast foods gross me out. But when I was exercising and going to school, I could not wake up at 7 and survive until 1 o'clock lunch on just fruit. So I would eat fruit, then later eat a bowl of oatmeal with lots of coconut oil and some steamed broccoli, like 1 head. Or I would toast 3-4 slices of that super-healthy 100% whole-grain bread, pour olive oil on it until it was saturated, then add either a mashed avocado, butter or almond butter, and eat some. I would also take a piece of this toast and/or an apple, and a bag of nuts. I HAD to eat a snack at 10 o'clock (break). People would see me eating that and be like, "Is that your breakfast?" AS IF one apple could hold me all morning! If they only knew! Then come lunchtime I would eeeeeeeeat.......... I wanted to eat healthy foods for breakfast but I needed something heavier than just fruit. Now that I don't have to wake up as early and my schedule is more flexible I can last on just fruits until lunch, which suits me better. Plus I don't lift weights anymore or exercise much. But when I do, I can feel that it amps up my metabolism. I can only imagine how your athleticism and your high metabolism would really end up with you chowing down the food!
I do wonder if you are receiving enough nutrition, either through food or through absorption of food, or if
parasites are indeed involved. Not to say that it's a "problem" but it would seem beneficial for life extension purposes to slow down the metabolism somewhat.
