Yes, you should have bitter melon (also called bitter gourd) there. It takes some getting used to but I kinda liked it so I would eat it sometimes.
Also, fresh squeezed Sugar cane juice is supposed to be super super good for you. I would drink a large (24 oz?) cup almost everyday, sometimes 2! Tastes super amazing with fresh lime squeezed into it.
I loved dragonfruit, it was very refreshing.
I also liked mangosteen fruits. That has some stuff in it that is very powerful, they make juice from mangosteen and also make extracts because of that stuff (can't remember the name).
Of course, can't beat fresh ripe pineapple and papaya - superfoods in themselves!

Have fun exploring the unfamiliar edibles!
You might try to learn about different mushrooms, chinese herbalists are really into dried medicinal mushrooms. You can probably find a wide assortment and perhaps you could make your own tinctures - if that interests you.
