Flax seed as psyllium replacement

Hi Guys :-)

I'm planning a long overdue cleansing of my bowel and bearing in mind my previous lack of success with P&B I decided to try Holistic Horizons products because they have no laxatives. Unfortunately they do have Psyllium so I wondered if I could substitute freshly ground flax seeds and, maybe, some slippery elm as the bulking agent.

I'd be using the HH cleansing tablets possibly with Okra-pepsin.

Anyone have any idea if this would be effective? I know flax has about a 50/50 soluble/insoluble fibre ratio and wondered on dosage.

with love and blessing,

Dean
