Do symptoms sometimes get worse initially on removal?

Hi everyone

I am new to this site and think that it is fantastic. So many people helping each other it's great. I wonder if anyone can put my mind at ease. I have four silver fillings and one gold inlay and last Friday I had my first Amalgam replaced. I visited a very reputable dentist who specialises in this treatment and was happy with the treatment and felt that they did follow the protocol that I had been advised that they should follow. The tooth that they started with was a rather large filling (bigger than actual tooth I'm sure) and the whole process took about one hour. Since Friday I have been feeling quite nauseous and a bit more brain foggy than usual. Though I can say that I feel slightly better today than I did yesterday. Is it normal to feel a bit off it for a few days whilst the body readjusts? I am worried sick of making my symptoms worse and maybe making myself worse with this. I am booked in to have the others removed in a couple of weeks time and am worrying about this also!

Thanks Milly
