Re: Will drinking VINEGAR make you DIZZY?
ACV=small quantity of Hydrochloric Acid.
*The vast majority of today's OTC and prescriptive meds used for Vertigo are really nothing more than Hydrochloric Acid
*Vitamin B6 is responsible for the production of Hydrochloric Acid
*Some of you have probably read about the "Brain-Gut Connection," as well as the notion that B6 is a "Stress Vitamin." This is why, the concept is one and of the same, essentially. Simply put, you need the right amount of Hydrochloric Acid to for proper digestion.
*Some people get dizzy from Hydrochloric Acid, while the dizziness of others is taken away by using Hydrochloric Acid. This phenomenon is likely due to the level of B6 in the body, which in turn is dependant on adequate stores of Vitamin B12 and Follic Acid.
*This is only that of my own personal opinion, one that has no clinical evidence whatsoever-I believe that those that get dizzy from methanol based foods and beverages (Vinegar, diet beverages, etc) might, might have too much B6 in the system, while those that have had their dizziness leave after vinegar or B6 supplementation (In addition to those that respond effectively to the OTC supplements used for vertigo)are probably more likely to be somewhat deficient in B6. Unfortunately, to ever nail it down like this, one would have to have an idea where the levels of Folic Acid and B12 are sitting at w/ the patient.
